She lies down in the arms of her white drapes
as her days recall the folds around her muted skin
the scent, the smell all she remembers is as soft
as her brown fine hairlines crumple the Persian silk
She lies, she smiles as she set her timer
the alarm that awakens her from all things beautiful
her soft hands gather the drapes once and twice for warmth
as her mind sets between the feathers of reality
A breath, a melody that reveals
as the versus repeat
and the flashes race down
her veins, her existence
dreamingly it all begins once again
Her soul awakes as the drapes are carried away
and her silent figure forms
as the voices shatter
as figures dance to find an answer
and all she does is withstand,
cold and muted her eyes search for him
Her land, her beauty, her dreams
all of which he masters
him the tallest of them all
he raced with his arms to hold her
and yet he took so long
once and twice upon a time
She envisions beauty, faces, lives and mankind
all to amuse her and greet her as time flies
and of all she still waits
she awaits him
she awaits his volumes, his chapters, his words
but they are only empty to begin with
To begin her narrative
her story; her visions; her life
without him
she mustn’t
The drapes fall as a series of images
pleasant ones that pass through her mind with a sound
as her long fingers reach to store it away for the next day
Her windows open as the tender light hit her translucent features
her eyes glare as they behold the sequence of today in a reflection
a white ceiling; a tinted glass; a broken light bulb, her velvet curtains
of all she remembers
yet another dream of his existence.

harmen liemburg

harmen liemburg is a graphic designer/ printmaker based in Netherlands
he's style is very much inspired by japense graphics, and all the character designs on modern everyday consumergoods in Japan.. He uses alot screen printinggg! thats what i loveeeee and the layering he does is a killer!
"The physical elements (touch, smell, layering) of printed matter add a
disctinctive richness to the work. By doing most of the silkscreen prints
myself at Kees Maas' workshop/publishinghouse Interbellum, I'm free to experiment. " Harmen Liemburg
harmen gave lectures in Cal Arts, MCAD and other schooollsss
love his work, very experimental! I think american university of sharjah should invite Harmen! there are so many talented people out there, do something about it :)

Nja Mahdaoui at Meem Gallery

Nja Mahdaoui is a Tunisian visual artist and a calligrapher
Well, in his lecture, he was talking about how his art of calligraphy is not based on traditional calligraphy; he works on his art to make it look more global. If you pay attention to the calligraphy text he writes, his words don’t say anything specific. He concentrate to make his work more global, so people out there are not missing any information, and they would look at it as an artistic piece.
" It is the world of signs which is disturbed: no signification- explanation, nor any designation to trivialize a memorized thought. With its distance from the world; the sign offers a new visual opportunity of a presence - material synthesis, signal - temporal - global graphics. Nja Mahdaoui

Reham Ibrahim

A sister a friend a great fashion designer!! She started her fashion brand " Toksic" a year back and since then she has been successfully working on making it all happen. She has been selling her work since then at boutiques in Dubai ( Amzan, Cube, etc..) I just love how she combines different material together, the Bright fun colors adds great character to the style. Her personality is very much reflected in her designs, and I personally believe a designer always reflect his personality and style on his work. I would like to share little paragraph I copied from her website .. and Ofcourse without the support and help of her great mother she wouldn’t have made her dream happen.
"toksic is strictly high street fashion. it's about women expressing their individuality through the way they dress up, their behavior and their attitude. it’s about personality, character and self-expression. being unique, confident and courageous. dressing up in bold colors and loud prints. getting attention. getting the killer-look; the look that "kills". " Reham Ibrahim
